Before you complete the application for NRRTS Registry, you must review the Application Registrant Requirements
You must pay a non-refundable application fee of $30 USD.
Once approved, the applicant pays $230 USD within 30 days for the first year’s dues. Registration begins with receipt of the $230 USD payment.
Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) products include medically necessary, individually configured devices that require evaluation, configuration, fitting, adjustment or programming. These products and services are designed to meet the specific and unique medical, physical, and functional needs of an individual with a primary diagnosis resulting from a congenital disorder, progressive or degenerative neuromuscular disease, or from certain types of injury or trauma. CRT refers to individually configured manual wheelchair systems, power wheelchair systems, seating and positioning systems, and other adaptive equipment such as standing devices and gait trainers.
NRRTS has developed a Core Curriculum consisting of five (5) areas of concentration: Ethics; Funding and Public Policy; Medical Terminology, Vocabulary, Anatomy and Diagnoses; Seating and Positioning; and Business Practices. Applicants will document completion of at least .2 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from each of the core areas for a total number of 1.0 CEU (10 hours).
Steps for applying to become NRRTS Registrant:
- Read the Registrant Requirements PDF – You must be employed by a CRT supplier for a minimum of one year to apply for NRRTS Registration. Experience must include direct client services such as evaluation and fitting of CRT.
- Complete the application form and include any CEUs you have from the last 18 months. CEU content must be related to CRT. These certificates must be in PDF format. ** If you do not have any CEUs, NRRTS will assign you courses to meet the core curriculum requirement. Having 1.0 CEU is not required to make application.
- Ensure you and your supervisor have signed the registration form. If your supervisor cannot sign, NRRTS will obtain your supervisor’s signature on your behalf.
- Upload a copy of your business card in PDF format.
- The NRRTS office will process your application and email a paid invoice to you.
- Then you’ll receive an email from Weesie with your login details and courses needed to complete the core curriculum.
- You have 90 days to complete the core curriculum. If you don’t complete the curriculum in 90 days, your application will be closed.
