Description

Somehow we in the supplier industry have become the gate keeper to the products we provide. We encounter ethical dilemmas on a daily basis as the ones who procure the funding for the interventions our clients need and other team members prescribe. What are the best clinical practices? Are these in line with insurance policies such as “use within the home”? It is our job to sell equipment, but we have ethical codes of conduct and standards of practice to adhere to in order to maintain credentials. This presentation will provide real world examples to help guide participants through this maze.

Learning Outcomes:
The participant will be able to recognize ethical/legal pitfalls such as kickbacks.
The participant will be able to differentiate the difference between ethical decisions and business decisions.
The participant will be able to apply industry codes of ethics to their daily practice.
