Developing prescriptions for seating and mobility systems is a collaborative process. The team comprised of client, therapist, CRT rep need to clearly understand how the assessment findings will impact the equipment selection and service delivery process. In Ontario, accessing funding is an essential step. It is important then, that all team members are aware of their roles and responsibilities to ensure efficiency and accuracy in the funding application process in order to achieve successful positioning and mobility outcomes. This webinar is designed to provide a basic understanding of client eligibility, when to complete a funding application and how to establish realistic expectations.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Participants will identify 3-4 elements of the assessment that will contribute to a successful seating and mobility prescription.
  • Participants will list 3 ways the “WHO 8 essential steps” support the collaboration of therapists and vendors in the wheelchair provision process.
  • Participants will identify 2-3 responsibilities of the therapist in the seating/mobility equipment provision process.
