All children need access to safe transportation, but for children with special health care needs, finding the right solution can be a challenge. This article aims to provide assistive technology professionals with the resources needed to gain competence in meeting the transportation needs of all children.
The participant will be able to identify 2 main categories of children with specialized transportation needs.
The participant will be able to identify at least 3 major categories of specialized child passenger restraint systems.
The participant will be able to identify 3 resources to develop competence in child passenger safety service provision and promote transportation safety for children with special transportation needs.
