This course appreciates a framework for ethics as applied in the modern workplace when faced with dilemmas involved in the delivery of care to complex rehab patients under pressure from families, colleagues, manufactures and payers. Real world examples are examined under the framework with a brief post-test to assure learner understanding and performance based on standards and principles.

Learning outcomes for this course:
1. Define a framework for ethics in medicine that can be applied to daily practice.
2. Name at least 2 situation that could be vague where an ethical decision might not be clear.
3. Describe 3 ethics concepts as understood in NRRTS and RESNA Standards of Practice in daily practice.

Joe McKnight, ATP/SMS, CRTS is trained as a Nurse and Paramedic in Nevada and Indiana. He has enjoyed the privilege of serving patients in Nevada in California owning his own rehab companies and working with companies such as Quantum Rehab and now with NuMotion. He is a longstanding member of the Region D. DAC, the California Association of Medical Products Suppliers, a founder of the Nevada Association of Medical Product Suppliers and Servers on the NRRTS Board.
