iNRRTS Awards Nominations 2025

The iNRRTS Board of Directors wants to give you an opportunity to recognize CRT Industry Leaders for their dedication and hard work. The Board of Directors awards individuals and groups who have contributed to the advancement of Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) through leadership, advocacy or distinguished service in the categories listed below.

  • You may nominate someone for any or all of the awards.
  • Nominations must be submitted and received by Wednesday, January 15, 2025. Use this form or email your nominations to Andrea Madsen, amadsen@nrrts.org.
  • A selection committee will determine the recipients from your nominations, and anyone in the CRT industry can make nominations.
  • Awards will be presented at the International Seating Symposium in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, March 20-22, 2025.

Leadership Award

This award will be given to the person, group, association, company, or agency that has demonstrated outstanding leadership in the seating & wheeled mobility industry.
Include details of significant leadership and advancement of iNRRTS. Also describe the professional and/or clinical impact on service delivery of CRT.

Distinguished Service Award

This nominee must be an iNRRTS Registrant or Friend of NRRTS (FON) for a minimum of three years.
This letter of nomination must detail the distinguished service to iNRRTS and the accomplishments and impact of participation to further iNRRTS’ mission.

Consumer Advocate of the Year Award

This nominee must be an active Complex Rehab Technology advocate.
This letter of nomination must detail the activities of advocacy, extraordinary accomplishments, and the impact of setting an advocacy example.

Simon Margolis Fellow Award

The Simon Margolis Fellow Award recognizes Registrants who have made long standing and significant contributions to iNRRTS, the CRT profession, and the seating and wheeled mobility community. The nominee must have been an iNRRTS Registrant for at least 10 years and possesses the CRTS® credential.
The nominee must have contributed significant and extraordinary contributions to the mission of iNRRTS, the field of CRT, and the profession of the CRTS® in areas such as:
  • Advocacy
  • Legislation and Public Policy
  • Communication and public awareness
  • Clinical Practice
  • Education and teaching
  • Professional presentations at national conferences
  • Manufacturing and product development
  • Service provision
  • Mentorship
  • The nominee must have also made significant contributions to iNRRTS through leadership activities such as:
    • Member of the Board of Directors
    • Executive or Associate Director
    • Webinar instructor/DIRECTIONS Author
    • Volunteerism
  • The nomination submission must include a cover letter from the nominator outlining why the nominee is deserving of the Simon Margolis Fellow Award. The submission must also include the nominee’s resume’, and at least two letters of support from iNRRTS Registrants.
  • The cover letter and the letters of support must document the nominee’s qualifications of leadership and extraordinary accomplishments in the field of CRT.
  • The nomination must describe, in detail, the nominee’s contribution and the significance of the impact on the profession.

    This award is named after Simon Margolis who set a high standard for dedication and involvement in the provision of Complex Rehab Technology. He was passionate about the people who rely on CRT. Consumer protection was his motivation for creating iNRRTS. This highest of  iNRRTS’ awards is given in his memory.
