Canadian Context In Canada, the government funding programs for mobility equipment are Provincially based, each with their own eligibility criteria, application process, approved amounts, roles and responsibilities etc. The major funding agency for mobility devices in the province of Ontario is the Assistive Devices Program under the Ministry of Health. The ADP funding system is very nuanced, because different codes and reimbursements are available for the same piece of equipment depending on the client’s assessed needs. This makes learning to quote under this system very complicated.
